Los Altos epoxy floor coatings
Yes, we pour floors in Los Altos
Los Altos has kept its small town center. Downtown runs along Main Street and State Street, with shops, cafes and the weekly farmers market, and the library and civic center sit on San Antonio Road. Foothill Expressway and 280 run along the hill side of town, and El Camino Real marks the edge toward Mountain View. It is a straight trip up 280 from San Jose, where we are based.
Many homes here were built in the 1950s and 1960s, and many are being remodeled or torn down and rebuilt. That gives us two kinds of garage: an old slab that has soaked up oil for years, and a new slab that has barely cured. Each needs its own prep, and both are covered in our garage floor installs.
Old slabs and new slabs in Los Altos
New concrete needs time. A fresh slab still holds water as it cures, and a coating rolled on too soon traps that water and lets go. On a rebuild we test the slab for moisture and wait if it needs more time. A new slab also has a smooth, steel trowel finish that paint slides right off, so it gets the same diamond grind as an old one.
Old concrete has the opposite problem. Decades of oil, brake dust and old garage paint sit in the top of the slab. The grinder takes all of it off down to clean, open concrete. Cracks and pinholes get filled, and only then does the base coat go down.
What we handle here
Floors we pour in Los Altos
Flake and Solid Garage Floors
The job Los Altos asks for most: a gray slab that has been catching oil, dust and tire marks for years. We grind it back to open concrete, fill the cracks, roll the base coat and seal it under a polyaspartic topcoat. Here is how we build garage floors in Los Altos.
Hand Poured Metallic Floors
The floor Josh is known for. Reflective pigment moved by hand through wet resin, so the floor has veins and movement and never repeats. Entries, studios, showrooms and show garages in Los Altos. See the metallic floors we pour in Los Altos.
Rooms Inside the House
Studios, gyms, laundry rooms, mud rooms and converted garages on a slab. The old floor comes up, the slab gets ground, and a sealed coating goes down that you can live on. Same build we use on home floor coatings in Los Altos.
Shop, Studio and Warehouse Floors
Los Altos businesses run on floors that take carts, boots and spills all day. A coated floor stands up to that and cuts the cleaning down to a mop, and we work around your opening hours. Have a look at our commercial floors in Los Altos.
Why Los Altos calls us
Why Los Altos homeowners call Josh
A remodel runs on a schedule, and the floor is often one of the last trades in. You get the dates in writing: the grind day, the coat days and the day you can drive on it. Your builder, your movers and your own plans can work around them, and the dates do not drift.
You also get one person to talk to. Questions about color, timing or the state of the slab go straight to Josh, not a call center, so the person answering is the one who has seen your floor.
Where you will find us around Los Altos
Downtown along Main Street and State Street is the heart of Los Altos, and the shops and studios there are where we see commercial floors. Out along Foothill Expressway are Loyola Corners and the Rancho Shopping Center, with quiet streets of ranch homes all around. Los Altos Hills rises above 280 to the west.
The streets near downtown carry the oldest slabs. The rebuilds going up across town have the newest. Same grinder, same moisture test, either way.
Where we work
Pouring metallic, flake and commercial floors across Los Altos
We cover Los Altos from downtown out to Loyola Corners and the streets along Foothill. The same truck runs north to floor coatings in Palo Alto, east to Mountain View and south to Cupertino garages.

Straight answers about your epoxy floor questions
Do you come up to Los Altos?
Yes. Los Altos is a run up 280 or 85 from our San Jose base. Send the form and Josh will set a time to look at the slab.
We just poured a new garage slab in Los Altos. How long before it can be coated?
New concrete needs time to dry out. We test the slab for moisture and coat it once it is ready, not before. Coating too soon is one of the most common reasons a new floor fails.
Can you work with our Los Altos remodel schedule?
Yes. You get the grind day, the coat days and the drive on day in writing, so your builder can plan the other trades around the floor.
Our old garage floor has paint peeling off it. Is that a problem?
No. The old paint, oil and stains come off with the diamond grinder. The new coating goes onto clean, open concrete underneath.
Do you fix cracked or sunken concrete in Los Altos?
No. We coat sound concrete and fill small cracks during prep. A slab that is sinking or heaving needs a concrete contractor first, and you will hear that at the estimate.
Can you coat a room inside the house?
Yes, if it sits on a concrete slab. Studios, gyms, laundry rooms and converted garages all get the same grind, fill and coat as a garage floor.
